Biology Club

The Biology Club is open to anyone interested in biology. Many of our club members are Biology majors but we encourage anyone to join. We meet once a month for planning and discussing upcoming events. Our members routinely use the Biology club room as a place for individual or group study sessions, for small meetings and interacting with other students, and for just relaxing between classes.

Members are required to pay $7.00 at the beginning of each semester (Fall and Spring) and volunteer at least two hours of their time. Every semester, we have fundraisers such as bake and soup sales, and we collect donated items for community charities. Proceeds generated by the club go towards financing social events and community outreach programs. We routinely participate in Memorial Health’s Harvest of Hope, SKIO Oyster Bagging events to restore reef habitats, and beach cleanups on Tybee and St. Catherine's Islands.

Look for our booth during Celebrate AASU Day, stop by our club room in SC 1001, or contact the club advisor, Dr. Jennifer Zettler (Jennifer.Zettler@armstrong.edu, SC 1007, 344-2714) or president (AASUbioClub@yahoo.com) if you are interested in becoming a member.
